How old were you when you realized you were Bi?

My 11 year old sister just told me she realized she is "bi". I don't know if she is really serious or if she is just trying to be "cool" in some way. At what age did you know you were bi or a lesbian?

I could care less if she is bi or not, just wondered if at this age she would really know.

  • I think I was 5 when I really realized I liked women.. but yeah, I guess I was 10/11 sleeping at my girlfriends house realizing I wanted to kiss her and do things...

  • I'm still not sure whether or no I am "bi." Bi-curious, maybe! I started having sexual feelings for women in my early 20s.

  • About 14, but my older sister was gay so I don't really know if that influenced me or not. I have been with several women in my lifetime, no serious relationships with any though, and although I still find women attractive, I am married and very happy with my husband. Your sister probably does have some sort of feelings for women, or may find them attractive, as she gets older she will figure it out more. On the other hand, I have seen many young girls these days that simply do it or say it because it is the "cool" thing to do. Only time will tell.

  • I think it's normal for all kids who are entering puberty to have conflicting feelings. All teenagers at some point wonder if they are gay or if a specific feeling means they're gay. Their bodies are going through so many changes. It doesn't necessarily mean they're gay or bi.
