My SIL got my nephews ears pierced!

Both ears.....I asked why? She said she thinks it looks sexy! WTH? How could she say her child is sexy? He just turned 1! To each their own, I guess.

  • I think it's tacky. Let him grow up and decide for himself if he wants his ears pierced.

  • Wow. How trashy. Hope she's ready for people to think he's a girl now. And I agree with Anon. Its so selfish...and I know if I was a boy and my mom pierced my ear, let alone BOTH of them, I'd be furious.

  • I don't agree with piercing a child's ears - regardless of sex. But I don't see any difference between doing a girls or a boys... What's the difference? Every guy I know with ears done, have both ears pierced... There is no difference as far as sex goes. But my question is what makes a parent think they have the right to put a hole in their child's body??

  • At one year old I wouldn't pierce any child's ear girl or boy. I think it is something the child needs to decide for themselves and also as they grow they may become uneven. I think it is totally wrong, but to each their own.
