Potty in food dish

I'm "babysitting" My daughters two chihuahua's. A Male and a Female. She has them for breeding purpose but is waiting to get into a house so they are staying with me temp. My problem is the male pees in his food dish after hes done eating. I take him out frequently but he still pees in his food dish. Has anyone had this problem? I've thought of getting him a "potty dish" If only I could get want to flush.

  • He is probably doing this to "mark" his territory...so that the female will leave his food / dish alone.

  • I also am thinking he is marking his territory. I would make sure they have seperate bowls even on seperate areas.
