  • as long as you make sure you are still getting protein in you diet, no it's not bad.

  • I think that would be fine. Just make sure you're getting adequate protein from beans, eggs, nuts, soy, and things like that. Many vegetarians have healthy babies. Talk to your doctor to confirm.

  • No. Just be sure you have a balanced diet with enough protein. Meat is not necessary. :)

  • i agree, just google something like "what to eat vegetarian pregnant".

there are a lot of really good sources of protein. =) nuts, peas, beans, and if you're not vegan, eggs, dairy. many many more :)

  • no, if your diet is balanced and you can get protien from other sources than red meats. idk if you're excluding fish or not, but you have to be careful about how much fish you eat while you're pregnant or ttc. some fish have alot of mercury in them.... other moms may know more about that than i do (i don't eat fish or seafood). you should continue to take your pre-natal vitamin of course, but i don't see any problem

  • no as long as your getting other sources of protien like tofu and rice make a protien and beans, legumes etc...

  • Vegetarian and vegan diets can be really healthy in pregnancy. You just need to watch your intakes - same as omnivores. There is nothing in meat or dairy that cannot be gotten elsewhere.

  • i was vegan my entire LOTS of greens for iron and you will be baby was 7lbs 2oz and perfectly actually think it is healthier to be vegan or vegetarian during pregnancy because you have less cholesterol and fat in your diet, which prevents many pregnancy illnesses
