  • That's because the food you are used to is not really traditional Mexican food. It's like saying Chef Boy R D is Italian food. Real Mexican food is varied and full of lots of delicious sauces and textures... mmmmmm.

  • This is Americanized Mexican food you are referring to. All cuisines are kind of adapted to American tastes, like Italian, Asisan, etc. You can find authentic cuisines you just have to know where to go. Not every town has real Mexican restaurants, sometimes you have to go to the larger towns and cities.

  • I agree with all of the above. It depends on where you're dining. The commercial mexican food is disgusting - not even close to authentic. They don't use the same cooking methods, or same spices/herbs. Most people think that all you need to make mexican cuisine is a tortilla, beans, and cheese. Ha!

  • Clearly, you have never eaten authentic Mexican food.

  • You must be eating american mexican food. It is completly different from traditional mexican food. Same goes with italian food, olive garden is disgusting compared to REAL italian food!
