question about stools

my son is 2 weeks old he seems constipated allot but he is pooping but his stools are thick not seedy an its a dark green what should i do im breast feeding could it be sumthn im eating????

  • did his stools turn yellow before you left the hospital? it sounds like when the meconium is starting to turn into regular poop but that should be done by 2 weeks. what did the dr. say about it?

  • I don't know about it being thick, but the greenish color usually comes from the first milk. If you don't nurse on one side until you are completely empty, the baby doesn't get as much as the fatty milk that come in at the end. The baby's poop will be green instead of yellow.
