Why aren't drapes double sided so it looks nice on the inside and outside of your home?

  • Better drapes DO have a uniform white or ivory lining facing the street--cheap ones don't! HOWEVER, an inexpensive fix is to use a simple double curtain rod, and on the inner rod hang white or ivory lace panels, and on the outer rod whatever you want. Then from the street, all of your windows will look uniform. Lace panels from Walmart, Kmart, etc. are inexpensive and all look the same from the street.

  • THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME SHOULD NOT HAVE ALL DIFFERENT COLORS SHOWING. THERE SHOULD BE NO MORE THAN 3 VISIBLE COLORS ON THE OUTSIDE

  • Because you're supposed to use either white or ivory toned sheer drapes as a liner under the colored fancy ones, but the problem is that people have gotten away from having such formal window coverings, so you youngsters don't know these things.
