  • You could start with the teen deoderants, they have mild and sensitive formulas. Its what i started with and my 5 y/o DD and 9 y/o niece both use it. My 5 y/o just like to be like the big girls and rarely actually gets it on her but she likes feeling like a big girl having it in her drawer lol.

  • Unfortunately, with the hormones and chemicals in the conventional foods (especially meat and dairy) that most Americans feed their children, puberty is coming earlier for most children, especially girls.

Please get your child a non-toxic aluminum-free deoderant, like a mineral crystal, or from a non-conventional company like Tom's of Maine or Kiss my face.

You can check the safety of body care ingredients (and some brands) here: www.cosmeticsdatabase.com

  • There are "teen" deoderants that aren't as strong as adult deoderants AND never use clinical strength on a child that young.
You can also back it up with some body spray. Bath and Body Works have some great ones for the younger set.

  • rkoloms.dd eats very healthy.I am a vegetarian and don't do fast food or junk food for the kids. She is predisposed to obesity via her dads side so both I and dr. agree it is proably her size causing the odor.

  • Use Tom's of Maine, there is no aluminum in it. It's one of the few deodorants for females without aluminum.

  • Use an aluminum free deodorant. Jordan Essentials makes an aluminum free deodorant in many fragrances including unscented & dye free.
