  • Probably the same reason that people find it necessary to spend time worrying about what other people do in their lives.

  • Because they want to vent? Because they're dumbasses that want everybody to know their business? Because it makes them feel important in some strange way? Who knows, people do things for a variety of reasons. I too, do not understand why people do that. People will put whatever they want on their profile though; you have the option to hide status updates.

  • airing laundry is a social act... FB is a social network... What's your problem with the connection here?

don't like what someone's saying on FB? unfriend them or block them!

  • Attention and Cuddle time

  • because they want attention--- I have this one friend in particular who feels the need to share EVERY SINGLE DETAIL of his/her life. EVERY little spat they have with their spouse... every little thing their kid(s) does. It's really strange-- he/she gets ALL the attention--- every little WHINE or COMPLAINT gets at least 15 comments...

  • LOL!!! I am absolutely amazed at what people will post in their status. We have had friends that had a nasty fight between each other about who cheated with who. It was very sad. Then there are the sappy sickening ones - "i love him SO much, blah, blah, blah, I would do anything for her, blah, blah" and then the next day: "I can't stop crying, why doesn't he love me?"

  • they're people who would have found a way to be indiscreet even if there wasn't a facebook. They've always existed, just facebook hasn't.
