Does this make you nervous?

My 3 month old's head feels really warm, his body doesn't and no fever. It kind of freaks me out!

  • Sometimes, the sides of their heads or the tops will feel much warmer. The best way to tell if they are actually warm...is put your lips to his forehead like you're giving him a kiss...is his forehead feels warm to your lips, then chances are, he has a fever. But I'm sure it's nothing. Just make sure you don't have him too warm, like wrapped in blankets

  • It's normal. Touching anywhere on their head is NOT an indicator of fever - only taking their temperature. I've sworn my kid(s) was/were burning up at times, only to take their temp and it's 98.6 - normal.

  • It's normal. Both of my kids had warm heads, but their bodies didn't feel warm.
Neither of my kids have had any issues and their doctors weren't concerned at all.

  • as long as the baby is not complaining, that's totally fine. when baby starts to fuss around and not eating, that time you should worry about. Your body temperature is different from head to toe. Dont worry yourself.

  • Babies tend to have warm heads. If you were bald, you'd likely have a warmer head too :)

  • My DD is the SAME way. At first I would check her temp all the time when her head felt warm..but if she doesn't feel like she's burning up or fussing or not eating..then i just leave her be
