when do you stop burping your baby?

my daughter will be 6 months on the 5th and I started giving her solid food once a day. Do I still burp her after the solid food? I do just in case...

  • I never burped after solids. I burped after bottles/nursing until they were really crawling and sitting, so between 6 and 8 months depending on my kids.

  • My breastfed babies never needed burping. It depends on the baby.

  • With my bottle fed boysI remember burping them until they could burp good themselves if needed, also the same time they could hold their own bottles, around 8 months if memory serves me correct lol. With my dd who is BF, I burped her when switching sides and after a session, but she never needed much thumpin' to get a burpin' lol if that makes sense...after a couple of weeks she really kinda burped on her own, if ever...
