As a parent having a child with lice for the first time is a little scary. So can a child go to school after lice treatment with a few dead nits, if treatment has occured?

  • No they have to be complete lice free no dead bodies or eggs etc, the school will check before they can come back.

  • why is it scary? its just LICE. that isnt scary. LOL but they have to be completely NIT free to go back to school

  • some school districts are less strict. nits aren't going to jump onto another child. My best advice is to use the nit comb, every day, for 30 days and make sure you wash the bedding, hats, clothing, coats, combs/brush etc. in the hottest water you can.

  • each school has their own policy call the nurse first thing monday morning
