How common in babies are lazy eyes? Not sure what to expect when meeting with the eye specialist!

  • They're very common in infants and most times completely gone by the time they turn 1. If a LO still has a lazy eye when they're 1, dr's begin to look more thoroughly into it. My niece had to have eye surgery when she was 2 and may have to have another one depending on whether or not it keeps improving. She's 4 now.
