What can I do to help my little girl?

She is only 2.5 years old and has a terrible cough. She does not have fever, but just to make her comfortable I gave a dosage of tylenol. I also put a humidifier. What else can I do? It just breaks my heart listening to her cough and not get any sleep.

  • You can elevate the top of her bed, she shouldn't cough as much if she's not laying flat.

  • i have not tried it yet, my daughter has history of really bad coughs so far this year we have been lucky and last year was not old enough..... but a friend mentioned to give them a spoon full of honey, the real stuff.
not sure if it works but i do plan on trying it if DD gets a cough.

  • You can take her into the bathroom and run the shower on hot, let the room fog up. Works wonders whenever I have a stuffy nose or a cough.
