Once again, Obama uses the auto insurance vs health care insurance analogy, and again demonstrates that he is either not all that bright, lying, or thinks his supporters believe his fables!
In the clip he talks about just having graduated from COLLEGE, owning a clunker, and purchasing auto insurance, only to find out that the insurance he purchased would not cover him when he was involved in a fender bender a few months later.
Turns out Obama, the Ivy League College graduate and President of The Harvard Law Review, didn't know the difference between LIABILITY insurance (which everyone knows is the basic state requirement to legally operate a motor vehicle and what people with clunkers usually select because the car is not worth much more than the deductible ie: Safe Auto) and COLLISION/COMPREHENSIVE insurance!
CNN clip from actual health care summit:
What do you think??????
IMO, Obama has to emotionalize the whole health care debate to get people to not pay attention to it's ridiculously high price tag and absurd demands. It is an unconstitutional bill, but for some reason those that scream about constitutional rights are right there behind him on this bill. Also ignoring the PA being extended. My how the times are a changin'.
I don't know that I think he doesn't understand the auto insurance thing, but retelling his story some years later when people without an ivy league degree can plainly understand that he didn't have the right kind of insurance doesn't paint him in the best light. I guess times are desperate. I knew the difference between liability and comprehensive in high school.

Sorry, I don't agree. There are DUMB people on both side, which Republicans and Democrats play .
LOL.. You got caught and now you are back peddling.. Classic anon.. No one say there aren't dumb people... All over the world.. Just like there are strong minded people, people who own their words, and people who don't hide behind punctuation marks rushing to "sting" people's comments.... IN THIS QUESTION~ Politicians (ALL of them) need to stop treating the American people the way Obama is doing in this particular example... Obama made a mistake that would have given him a free pass during the campaign. But people are waking up! The American people are not falling for this crap anymore.... BRING ON 2010!! Then onto 2012!!!
