  • It is alittle exspensive but the best carseat I could find that is very safe and lasts from 5lbs to 80lbs is sunshine kids convertible carseat xt. They are between $200-300

  • Of course you want to find one that will fit in the vehicle rear facing so your child can be rear facing as long as possible.

  • Is he rear of forward facing?
If he is rear facing I would look into the Cosco Scenera you can get them for around $50 and they last rear facing to 35 lbs and forward facing to 40 lbs... they have a nice tall shell so it should last for a few years.
If he is already forward facing and you aren't going to turn him back around... I would look into the Evenflo Maestro it forward faces to 50 lbs and you can buy it at Sears for about $75.

  • What are your needs? Do you plan on continuing to rear face? How much are you looking to spend?
