  • I have spent thousands of dollars on attorney fees for my custody battle,I have been through 3 custody evaluations at $5000.00 each,I finally decided to get on the waiting list for legal aid where I live and after 4 months I couldnt wait anymore,I retained a private attorney and legal aid called the next day.I do believe that you get what you pay for.I also know someone who told the judge he couldnt afford the full price of a custody evaluation and the judge ordered an evaluation based on a sliding scale fee.
