If you're riding in the car with you SO, does it bother you if he's listening to music on his headphones?

I feel like it's rude. He'll take them out if I ask him, but he thinks I'm being ridiculous.

  • other than rude its dangerous.. he cant hear horns or sirens, etc. my husband just doesn't do it. but i guess yes it is really rude, too. but mean are ridiculous sometimes and can be really rude. doesn't make it right but its something small compared to other things he could be doing.

  • LOL...it just seems like odd behavior for an adult. Why not just listen to the music together?

  • Significant Other, son, daughter, anyone ....

YES, it is rude. It declares "You don't exist"... and "my casual music entertainment is more important than you ... actually ANYTHING is more important than you ! "...

and "If you want to say something to me, I've got my bedroom door closed on you and you're going to have to knock & ask to be let in" (as in pulling a headphone off and saying "What?!" to you when you try to talk to them.)

Frankly, you might as well be in separate cars - THAT would be less humiliating.

  • My husband would never do that, but YES it's rude! My step-son has tried doing that in the car and I don't allow it (unless we are on a road trip or something) It's rude. You're right, not rediculous! :)
