What kind of comfort foods and treats last in a pantry?

  • Anything dry will last longer if you give it a few days in the freezer before the pantry like pasta/mac n cheese. Obviously anything dried - fruit or fruit leather, beef jerky. Convenience foods all have enough salt in them to last forever, so if it's in a can, it will last. Things like pudding or pie filling. Look more at ingredients you can combine with a few others.

  • The ones with an experation date a month ahead of hostess or little debbie snack cakes, chips, cans of mac-n-chesse the kind the chef boyardee makes

  • canned and boxed foods usually last a lng time in the pantry.
