if a person is to try to get an order of protection, would you go to court before it was approved or after?

  • Like previous poster said you go to court to get it approved. It would help if you have proof that this person is harrassing you. Such as police reports, text or cell phone messages.

  • They issue a temporary order of protection until the court hearing. MAKE SURE that if you really want the order of protection, you GO to court. Because if you DON'T go, they'll drop the case, assuming that you did not want to follow through.

  • well i have been writing down dates and when things happen thats the only proof i have so far and one video of them saying "they are a bunch of liers"
