Should I buy my son a toddler bed and give the new child his crib? Or buy another crib and have them both in cribs?

I am prego with baby #2. My son will only be 14 months when my second child is born.

  • oh mamma, that is soo me. my son will be 18 months when my second is born. we moved him to his toddler bed at 14 months and he LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES his big boy bed. I wouldn't have it any other way. And the new baby will be using his crib, it's still in excellent condition

  • i would buy the new baby a new bed. you dont want your son to feel like hes going to have to give up everything for the new baby. Plus, he may not be ready for a toddler bed when the new baby arrives.

  • If I were you I would consider borrowing a bassinet or crib from someone. Buying another crib for only a few months use seems like a huge waste of money. Borrowing will buy you some time to let him mature just a few months more, then get a bed for him with rails.

  • bassinet for the new baby. Too soon for a toddler bed. IMO
