Is cell phone service free for Medicaid and SSI Recipients?

There is a TV AD about it. Anyone knows anything about free cell phones for Medicaid and SSI Recipients.

It is legitimate. My friend got one. She is on FS & Medicaid though so I don't know what the criteria is for it. They are used phones that were donated & you only get a very small amount of minutes a month. Its intended for ppl who have no phone at all & need one in case of emergency.

no, this is ridiculous. I know people on ssi and medicaid, and no they don't offer it. I highly doubt they'd be advertising on TV if it was legitimate.

I've seen commercials for very cheap home phone service, but I thought cell phones were a privilege.

We just got it not to long ago for my cousin. They give you 68 minutes a month and you can buy minutes as well. It is ran by track phone. You can qualify for that or a % of your landline phone bill through the gov't program.
