What do you take for menstrual cramps while you're breastfeeding?

My first day back in the "kotex" saddle after 13 1/2 months and I forgot how much "fun" it was. I used to have such bad cramps I would throw up if I didn't take ibuprofen. I don't like taking anything while breastfeeding, but I might. What do you think is the safest?

  • Ibuprofen is the best it is safe to use and it relieves the swelling and clotting that causes cramps.
