Yeouch! I just cut the tip of my finger off with a potato peeler! Eeeep!

It cut through the nail and the skin off, but it is still connected. Do I cut off the extra skin and nail or do I close up the wound and put a bandaid on? I did the bandaid thing, but really want to know if I should cut off the flap of skin. FYI it is not bad enough to go to the ER, it is just a small flap of skin and nail.

  • and your typing?....
don't cut it off, cause it helps protect what's underneath it. it'll dry up and then you can cut it off when it's not so sensative anymore. neosporin and a bandaid.

  • Do not cut it, place it where it suppose to go and put a band aid over it, keep it dry too, so it heals faster. OUCH!
