How often do you buy new bed pillows?

I just got 4 new pillows for our bed at Target. They are on sale for $3. I replace the pillows about once a year.

  • I can only use down pillows or I get terrible headaches. I usually spend about $50 a pillow. So I don't buy new one's very often. Usually once every 2-3 years.

  • I buy new ones only if they somehow get really dirty, torn up, or just lost it's shape. Otherwise I usually toss them in the dryer once a month to kill all the bed mites.
My daughter was recently sick, and ended up throwing up all over one of my pillows so I replaced that one, but the other ones that didn't get anything on them are still there.
My boyfriend NEVER replaces his though and he;s had his for YEARS... yea they are pretty nasty! Flat as a pancake, and gross looking so as long as before they start looking like that I think your good!
