Who is the handy person in your home?

DH and I usually split up the home repair stuff, but I am finding myself doing more of the repairs than he is. I am probably a little more handy than him, with exception to heavy lifting and such. Who is the handy person in your home?

  • DH is better at the big stuff - garage doors etc. I am better at the smaller fix-it projects overall I would say I am handier he is more mechanically inclined.

  • DH is one of those guys who can fix anything and I just don't really have the desire to unless I absolutely have to. He pretty much fixes/builds anything in our house and for some reason I find it SOOO sexy!

  • Definitely my husband. He has saved us thousands since we've bought our house and have been fixing it up.

  • DH is a mechanic so usually handles all the vehicle maintenance as well as most of the heavier projects such as the house maintenance ie...dry walling, repairs of electrical, stuff like that. I handle the smaller projects like taping the dry wall, painting and that kind of stuff. We also agree that he deals with the yard work except for the flower beds and garden if I decide to do one and I deal with the housework, but he will pitch in if I ask him to.
