why do I have a sweet taste in my mouth?

I keep having a sweet taste in my mouth, even when I don't eat anything sweet and even after brushing my teeth.

  • can be caused by a bacteria or fungus in your mouth
    GERD can cause it
    Diabetes
    Not eating enough carbs
    being dehydrated
    too much artificial sweeteners in your diet.

    it can be caused by many things...
    If you are worried by it, go to the doctor.

  • Diabetes is the most common cause for sweet taste in your mouth. Have you also noticed frequent urination?

  • I guess I haven't really paid much attention to that. Think I will start paying more attention to if I'm going to the bathroom more and if I am thirsty more often. I know I have had really dry mouth lately, but i wouldn't say that I'm drinking more often.
