What size and brand of panties or underwear do you use when 2T/3T size is baggy?

I bought some store brand size 2T/3T panties for my daughter at Wal-Mart, and they are really baggy. Her twin brother is much thinnner than she is, so I know this will be an issue for him too when he is ready.

What size and brand of panties or underwear do you use for your potty training kids?

Thanks!

  • At Target we bought several different kinds of 2T/3T undies and the brand that made Elmo undies (and I think they also have princess ones in that size) fit my small-framed daughter at 19 months and my even smaller girl is wearing them fine right now at 18 months. The others kinds were HUGE. I'm not sure if they still size them this way, but it's worth a try.

  • Mine wore pull ups until she was fully trained.

  • What did she wear after the pull ups?

The panties I bought look like they would fit a 4 year old. There has to be something smaller.

  • I buy 2t/3t for my son and they swallow him. I just wash them in HOT water and shrink them. They usually fit after that.

  • Thanks all!

    Vero0724 - I'll check that out.

nsrush83 - I'll try that with the ones I bought at Wal-Mart, and I won't buy any more of those!

EmilySusan- I actually have some unopened packages of Elmo and Princess ones I bought at Target.  After seeing how big the others were I was a little reluctant to open the packages in case I needed to take them back.  I guess I'll open them and see if they are better.

  • I just checked my girls' undies and the Elmo ones are tiny but the Princess ones aren't. Sorry if I misled... and again, not sure if they still make them the way they did a little over a year ago.

  • EmilySusan - not a problem at all. If they are too big now they will eventually fit. The Elmo ones I have are a boy's style (look like men's underwear), so I expect they are not exactly like the ones you have for your girls.
