How do you wake up your child from nap?

My 3 year old pitches a fit every time! Any ideas?

  • I usually let her wake herself up, but if I have to wake her up I am really quiet about it and gently rub her back and hug her close when she sits up it takes about 15 mins.

  • I let my children wake up on their own otherwise they're crabby.

  • I also let mine wake up on her own. Otherwise you have to deal with a crabby one all night long.

  • I don't unless we have to go somewhere or they took a late nap and she won't be tired for bedtime if she sleeps to late.
Otherwise I let her sleep as long as she wants.

  • When they took naps I let them wake up themselves or if we had to go somewhere then I would try to wake them up as gently as possible to put their coats and stuff on.

  • I never wake my daughter up unless we're going somewhere and that rarely happens.

  • I usually don't wake them up if they are napping, I let them wake up when they are ready. But if for some reason I have to wake them up (like I'm going somewhere) then yeah...the baby is crabby.

  • Don't wake him up. Let him sleep as long as he needs.
