Vegetarian ((Getting TOO skinny)?!

Well I stopped eating meat at the beginning of fall..I've just recently started getting these comments saying i'm losing weight or i'm getting "skinny" I LOVE my shape! My body I feel is like a master piece that I have worked years to PER-FECT! Well i'm pregnant so i'm sure it won't be the same but I can work on it...I'm not going to go back to eating meat because I've seen slaughter houses and animal cruelty is one thing I feel very strongly about...My mother told me today i'm going to get too skinny from not having the protein or vitamins I was getting from meat. The guy at the corner store said I was losing weight. I said oh thanks that's good. Then he looked at my butt and said not in the right places. I said what. He responded..your butt is getting small. I do NOT want a small butt. What can I do? I've never wanted to be skinny and I still don't. Some women would love to be skinny--i am not one of those women.

  • increase your intake. eat fattier fruits like bananas and avacados. more nuts. If your still losing weight, then there's something fishy about it. You'd probably lose a lot of weight, but shouldn't keep losing weight.
    Do you eat cheese and stuff? If so...increase your fats in your diet....

  • JUST MAKE SURE YOUR GETTING YOUR PROTEIN FROM OTHER FOODS .IF YOUR PREGNANT YOUR GONNA GAIN WEIGHT SOONER OR LATER LOL!

  • I had a very healthy vegetarian pregnancy and have a very healthy vegetarian child. I have vegan friends who had very healthy pregnancies and have very healthy children.

  • There is nothing wrong with being vegetarian so long as you make sure you are getting enough protein!

    Beans, lentils, tofu, bean/rice mixes, nuts, and dairy products are great sources of protein. Aim for at least 20g per day.

    Also be sure that you are getting enough fiber through whole grains.

    If you are still losing weight, talk to your doctor. Do you feel strongly about eating fish? Because fish is one of the best proteins you can get.

  • I eat fish! I went one month basically living off it. I'm cooking it right now. (Haven't had any in a while since today) I have a doctors appt thursday so I can bring this up then as well.
