baby weight gain

my first babywas a boy weighing 6.25 pounds and my second a girl weighing 7.25.
on my son's one month checkup he weighed 7.9 pounds and my daughter weighed 8.2 pounds.
i feel she has been feeding much better than what he did in the first month. also i wasnt well after my first delivery and my son was quite colicky too so why has my daughter put on lesser weight as compared to my son?

  • That's a difference of what .65 lbs? I wouldn't worry about it, I doubt it is significant. As long as she gains steadily and does not lose, she is fine.

  • Boys use more energy and have a harder time early of gaining weight but then they pack it on generally don't worry about it.

  • Because no two babies are alike. As long as she's gaining, I wouldn't worry about it.
