Can I get a tooth fixed or pulled while being pregnant?

Its seriously hurting me. Its been filled three times now by a dentist that seemed to think he can fix anything. It smells bad when i floss. It hurts, it causes me headaches constantly now, I just can't the pain anymore, i want it pulled!

  • Yes, just be sure to tell the dentist that you're pregnant.

  • Most of the time, if you're seeing an OB, they'll want a letter faxed from your OB to the dentist stating what you can and can't have. But I had a broken tooth pulled when I was 37 weeks pregnant, and had no complications at all.

  • YOU had better get any dental problems fixed now . And I wouldn't recommend having the tooth pulled because then you will need a bridge or implant to fill in the gap and that will be expensive.
