Can dehydration cause pre term labor?

I have been in the hosptial twice in one week from being dehydrated. It's a long story on how it happened. But I heard that dehydration can lead to pre term labor and I am terrified of that.
Just wondering if it may be true, or anyone heard of that?
Also, tips on staying hydrated? I drink water, it just makes me SO sick.

  • Yes it happened to me. I had the flu and had a hard time keeping anything down. Even water. Drink 64 oz a day that also includes your milk intake, water intake and what ever else you like to drink.

  • can you handle juice? gatorade, koolaide, fruit such as watermelon or other "juicy" fruits. even soda has some water in it.

anything you drink will hydrate you. Even foods have water in them.
