  • "Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit."

Well, Obama has managed to be transparent on this.   It's pretty clear this is typical Chicago political style, the buying and selling of political positions.

  • It's sad that Obama has to work so hard to convince people of his OWN party. Makes you wonder why they are resistant.

  • mancos, you would think that they should wonder why they are so resistant, but they are so hellbent on their 'free UHC for EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!"  Most of them haven't even stopped long enough to read any of the content of the bills they are so in favor of.  I guess they haven't yet learned that you can't and shouldn't trust government.
