How many bottles/ounces a day should my almost 9 month old son be drinking?

He'll be 9 months old in 10 days. He walks, yes WALKS, perfectly, eats solid foods great, drinks out of a big kid sippie cup (water) But how much formula vs solids should he be getting a day? Anyone know? Just curious...

  • I think he should still be getting 24-28 ounces/day of formula and then if he's still hungry, solids after that. My kids were all breastfed, so I'm not sure about the ounces but they were eating three meals/day of solids (whatever we were eating) and then bfeeding after meals and for 2 snacks/day.

  • Mine were drinking 4-5 bottles a day, 8 oz per bottle (one child was drinking it out of a sippy, her choice), they were all also drinking water & juice out of a sippy, and eating bits of our meals along with us as well as snacks. They were all very similar - bottle first thing after waking up,breakfast, nap, bottle or snack, lunch, maybe bottle, nap, bottle if not before nap, snack, supper, sometimes a bottle, and a bottle before bed.
