foster care in colorado

does anyone know how big of a place you need to have to be a foster parent? looks like I meet all other requirements, but we live in a small basement apartment in a house with one bathroom-
wondering if anyone knows the housing requirement in colorado-

  • You have to make sure that you have a separate bedroom for the child, so at least a two bedroom appt, unless youre fostering more than one or under 6mo of age, and also depends on the sex of the child. if you are doing it on your own and fostering a boy, by colorado law you have to have a separate bedroom for them after 6mo old, with a girl 12mo old. if you you have a husband or boyfriend living with you regardless of sex 6mo is the limit. you probably want to be all set with at least two bedrooms before you get the kid
