hi i have 5 months old baby boy.n he has lice problem in hi head?what to do to remove lice as soon as possible?

  • You can try baby oil to slide them off. you're going to have to wash everything in hot water though to prevent re-infestation.

  • Shave it will not stop them from re-infesting or taking over the house. Find out how the infant got the lice in the first place. Call you ped to find out what is safe because most of the lice shampoos are not for his age. Treat the other members of the house as directed and treat the house. Bedding, stuffed animal, clothes. What you can't wash must be placed in a trash bag and sealed for at least 2 weeks. Re-treat the older members in about 7-10 days and redo all the above..

  • we used cetaphil and let it dry on my son's head and did this for two weeks. It suffocates the lice. He's really young though so I'd consult the doc. Also, dry on hi heat all linens, coats, etc for 25 minutes each day. Vacuum the furniture, carpet and nit pick. Get the metal comb. You have to check him every day for two weeks after you've seen a live louse (lice).
