  • There won't be Christians going to hell just for being decieved. You can only be decieved if you are not truly seeking God. If you are seeking God, you won't be decieved. You must keep yourself in check, have a relationship with God and stay close to him through his word and through prayer. When you do this, you know the truth. For those who truly don't know any better, God is aware of that. And he is a just God. Those who want God (allign their will with his will) will have what they seek and those who rejected him will have what they wanted, eternity without him.

  • Well I was raised with if you go to church in the wrong day you go to hell. Saturday only not Sunday so I have this mentality kind of... but if that's true *I have been seeking this answer* it's sad and makes me not want to serve God.

  • Grace is something God freely gives us out of His love for us. He doesn't owe it to us. He gives it to us, we are then to give it to others. Pay it forward, you know. It is something undeserved, a gift. It is an expression of the true love that comes from knowing God.

Here is a quote that is appropriate for your question I believe:

Grace despised is grace forfeited, like Esau's birthright. They that will not have Christ when they may shall not have him when they would.

  • It's like this. If God would prove himself, we would have no choice but to believe, no choice but to fall at his feet. He would then be removing the choice by the glory of His presence revealed. He doesn't want to force His children, He wants to reveal himself in ways that will grow our faith in Him and thereby encourage others to do the same seeking. It's just in how you look at it. If you see God as a tyrant your are looking through the eyes of a child who fears punishment. If you see God as a teacher, a loving Father who wants the best for us, and will correct us when we are wrong you are getting closer to what He really is. He will not force us to love him, to seek him, he fills us with a need and we either look for Him or try to fill it with the empty things of this world.

  • rhanford: please find a bible teaching/believing church. you continue to ask questions on here but you're going to become even more confused because not everyone believes the whole bible. I know u were/are SDA... may I suggest looking for a non-denominaltional church or a Calvary Chapel in your area.
