How to make blinds child proof?

My son is getting ready to be moved to a toddler bed and I am going over his bedroom with a fine tooth comb with child proofing. He has blinds in his room. Is there a way to child proof them?

  • Well you need some thin material preferrably cotton based, then using a hot glue gun only on the edges which should be an extra 3 inches so when the blinds fold up it wont mess up the material. Basically you will make a pillow case for the blinds where you can detach it and wash it. You only hot glue 3 sides of the pillow casing and use safety pins up near the top. I hope this helps.
    Have a great day!:)
