How can she not remember?

How can my own mother not remember her children's birthdays? My mother just joined facebook today. On her profile she happily states she has two kids. One who is 39, (my brother who is actually 37) and me who is 31 (I'm 30). Yeah she's not too far off. But she can never remember when we were born! She's 59 and no matter how much she pretends she's senile she isn't! Have you ever forgotten how old your kids are?

  • i think it must be an age thing and a memory thing. my mil cant remember her families bdays, but she has a huge family. 4 kids, 6 grandkids, 6 bros and sisters, plus all their kids... so i cant blame her too much

  • The last time I asked my dad how old I am, he said 28. I'm 36.

  • Nope not an age thing. She has always forgotten. Even when I was a kid. I've constantly had to remind her how old I am. The only thing she might legitimately blame it on is the 60's and 70's. lol. She was a hippy.

  • My 57 year old, very mentally stable mother recently asked me how old I was AND what year I graduated from high school.
