  • My children do not like the lunches at school.I make a rotating menu for lunch.Turkey sandwiches,PB&H,homemade mini calzones, hummus with pita and carrots and cucumbers, tomato and fresh mozz. salad, tuna salad w/crackers and various other things I read and they try.Always fruit and yellow grape tomatoes and a homemade cookie.During cross country season they also pack a breakfast for after 6 AM practice. Those days my mind gets tired of thinking up food to take.

  • My kid's favorite lunch is black bean quesadillas. There is no hot lunch at his school, so I make all his lunches. He would eat that every day if I made them.

  • Neither. They eat what they are served. The cook makes 1 meal - there are no options. We pay once a month for hot lunch (rather, our kids just eat because we qualified for free hot lunch). There's ny buying their lunch each day. Everything is placed on their tray in the line and they eat it. That said, I have no idea what their favorites are. The cook makes a lot of homestyle food, but also makes some oddball lunches.
