3 1/2 month old more interested in looking around?

My daughter has been pretty early with her milestones (rolled from tummy to back at 6 weeks, already has great upright head control)d now really likes to be held upright to look around. I've noticed when she is held upright, she doesn't like to look at the person holding her (even me), but prefers to look around. When she is semi-reclined, in my lap or propped up, then she is more likely to focus in on a person. Is this normal?

  • Yep, if you were just realizing your surroundings wouldn't you be looking around too? Everything is new to a baby that young. They need to soak it in.
