Tracheomalacia, bronchomalacia, tracheobronchomalacia, or laryngomalacia. I have a question. When laughing or if upset does your child "squeak?"

  • My child outgrew her lingual tracheomalacia. No she never squeaked.

  • My daughter has distal tracheomalacia/bronchomalacia. When she was little, she used to squeek all of the time with every breath. Unfortunately, we don't get to hear her laugh because she has a trach. Squeeking is normal when laughing or crying. Her NICU nurse used to call Addy her little pip squeek.
