You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!

well, sure it wouldn't float, but what the hey-at least the planes are not scratched. and its a lot of money upfront, i realize this, but at least after crashing they don't need to buy another one.

  • the real answer is because the people wouldn't survive. the box has NO air in it, so we d all suffocate-not to mention not move. the no air thing makes it so that the box cannot be compressed, therefore making it indestructible.

  • because, have you ever seen how long it takes them to find it?

  • It's probably the expense thing. The cost would probably be fairly astronomical. And maybe it would make the plane too heavy?? But good question! That would be sweet if planes were indestructible.

  • I think the plane would be to heavy. Nice theory though.

  • I would say its probably to heavy. Its possibly made out of very thick rot iron or steel of some sort. And planes are very very very easily damaged. If you hit a plane with a forklift and just bump it, it is probably going to crush, then they cant even fly it. They can only do what aerodynamics will allow them to
