Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'?

  • Because medicine is not an exact science. I think this is why I love the show House so much...the power of deduction.

  • No matter how long you are a doctor, there are always new things to be learned and new procedures and instruments being invented or found. Doctors could live 2 centuries and STILL not know everything! When I took classes including medical and psychology, the books were changing every year with all the new facts.
