watermelon!!

Ok so i have a 5 month old and i believe she is teething...i just bought a fresh food feeder!!...so my question is... is it safe to feed watermelon to a 5 month old? ...i was thinking about putting it in the freezer just to help sooth her discomfort!

  • It is fine. As with ALL new food, you will have to watch her for symptom of allergy. It is always a good idea to keep children benadryl on hand along with the proper dosage instruction if she were to show allergy symptoms. Watermelon, bananas, plums, ripe peaches are great for those feeder things. Especially chilled or mildly frozen.

  • what is a fresh food feeder? LOL It should be just fine, my little girl eats everything under teh sun when it comes to fruits nad veggies. I agree just watch for allergies.

  • they usually don't want you giving solids to them until 6 months ... but if she's just sucking the juice and chewing on it ... she should be okay..
