Get the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility and learn to chart your cervical mucus and Cervical position to detect ovulation. Then chart you Basal Body Temperature to confirm that you have indeed ovulated.
This is the best way and the most inexpensive way.
There are lots of ovulation predictor kits on the market but they are actually very unreliable so I wouldn't recommend waisting your money on them.
A basal body thermometer cost about 10 bucks and you can get the book used on Amazon for 6 or 7 bucks.
