  • we celebrate our Irish heritage by making corn beef, cabbage, & potatoes and drinking expensive beer that we normally wouldnt spend money on. but it has nothing to do with religion.

  • my twins were born 2 years ago on st. patricks day, so it will always be a celebration here! my dh and i love ireland too, we lived there for a short while and got engaged there too. we are not fond of corned beef and cabbage, we may have irish stew...

  • My daughter will be 2 March 16...so on the 17th she's getting a birthday/St.Pat's Day/Elmo party at daycare!

I'll probably make Corned beef & Cabbage...as it's a favorite at our house.

But as for rituals? We're prepping for Oestara!

  • since it's on a wednesday... I probably won't be doing much. Have classes both that day and the next...I am going out THIS weekend (which I guess is close enough...so I'll probably order one green drink to fit with the holiday spirit.. that's about it.

  • Nope, except that it will give me an excuse to paint my nails green or maybe I'll paint them white with green shamrocks.

  • Not much but I'd like to. We get books about the holiday from the library, decorate a little bit, and that's all i have come up with. Thanks for the inspiration though! I may look it up ;)
