Cleaning the stove...

What do you clean your stove top with? I have some brown stains on mine that I just can't seem to get off! I want to use an sos pad but I'm a little worried it will scratch off the paint.

  • The key with burnt on stains is that it took time for the stain to be there, it will take time for it to be cleaned....it needs to soak!!!

  • 409 - spray it on and let it sit for a few before scrubbing it with a sponge and "elbow grease".
Don't use an SOS pad as it will scratch the finish on the stove.

  • I can't get the burnt stains off either. I've tried magic eraser, Dawn power dissolve, 409, nylon scrubber pad, lemon juice. An sos pad will scratch the enamel.

  • I've let cleaners "soak" for hours. I've left the dawn power dissolve on it overnight. I've left clothes soaked in lemon juice laying on them. Still there. Mine happened when I was canning.
