Who watches/would watch your kids

If you work, or for SAHMs - when you go somewhere the kids cant go -- do you have a certain person watch your kids, do you use a day care ?

For me I really only feel comfortable letting my mom or my grandma watch them, no one else ever has ...when they get a little older it might change ... also I am a SAHM

  • I am a SAHM. The only people who watch our kids is My mom, his mom or dad or my sisters and i have 2 13 year old girls I have known forever who watch them for us sometimes.
My boys are 5 and 6

  • I'm a SAHM. Depending on what it was, different ppl could watch my son. I mainly use my mom, but my sister (17) and brother (16) will also watch him. So would my dad for a while. My husbands mom and dad would and so would my SIL. Also my friend Brittni. In a true emergency I have a few ladies at church that I could easily ask.

I know now who will watch him becasue my husband was recently hospitalized for a month. In that time my son had to skip around to family members cause I had to stay with hubby. It really opened my eyes to who truly has my families best interest at heart.

  • i'm a single mom, so my mom/dad watch my daughter while i work, or go out. when my sister lived here she used to as well, but now she lives 9 hrs away :( but yaa, other than my parents, i dont have anyone i could ask, because all my friends live an hour away (i just moved here, so i dont know anyone except my parents, which is why i had to move here so i culd have a babysitter).

  • My kids are older now and can stay alone for a few hours, but until they were, the ONLY person they EVER stayed with was my mother. I'm NOT a believer in daycare or nannies. They are MY kids and I will raise them. They usually go with us, but on the rare ocassion we had to go somewhere without them, mom came over.

  • When I worked my MIL watched them. Now that I am a SAHM - IF I need a babysitter - it's MIL or my mom.

  • SAHM and i am only comfortable leaving my chickadess with my mom, my cousin, thier granny (only when paw paw is present also because granny has several health issues that may keep her from being able to fully handle them) and DH. Thats it. If I need to go someplace where they cannot follow, I take them to one of those ppl. Thats it

  • I'm a SAHM and none of our family live nearby. Right now I EBF so I rarely go anywhere without my daughter. When I do, it's just for an hour or two tops to the grocery store or something and she stays home with my husband. My mom has watched her a couple times when she's visited or I've visited her and again it's only for a couple of hours. I now have a few other mom friends, so when we get to where we would leave her with a babysitter, I would ask one of them for recommendations. But it definitely wouldn't be a common thing. Maybe like once or something. I wish my mom or MIL lived closer because I 100% trust both of them.

  • That should say maybe like once *a month* or something.

  • It's usually my mom or hubby's grandmom (who we live with). Nobody else has ever watched him (besides us of course), but then again he's only 5months...
